Ugh never again. The nurse couldn't draw blood from me on Friday even though I didn't eat anything the whole day. Something about stress levels throughout the day affecting the blood result blah blah blah. By 3.30pm I was starving so the hubby and I went out for something to eat. I had a salmon salad and some salmon sashimi. YUM.
So yesterday we set off to the doctors rooms again for the blood test. I could have sworn the nurse said they opened at 7. Hubby heard 8. He was right. So we sat there waiting for an hour. Eventually we make it inside and I'm the first at the nurses station for my blood test *shudder* I wasn't even really nervous. I only get nervous when I have to see an actual dr. So I sit down and put my arm on the table thing and she puts the strap thing on. Then miss Nurse starts looking for a vein. OMG. I should have known then and there that this was going to be bad. She spent 5 mins looking at the one arm when I suggested we move on to the other arm. Let me add that her assistant had NO problems a few months back finding a vein on the original arm. ANYWAY. So now I'm turned towards the table...arm in full view so I have to watch her digging around in the vein. I thought I was going to die. She had to fill 4 vials. Halfway through my vein had a spasm or something but it refused to give more blood and I wasn't about to let her poke me again. Stupid woman. I'm ashamed to say it's the first time I've cried after having blood drawn. Pfft. I've been through more hectic stuff and I've never cried.
Needless to say it will take some serious illness or me on my deathbed before I willingly undergo a blood test again.
PS : To the other nurse that wouldn't take my blood the day before due to the stress levels mumbo jumbo. I'm sure my blood won't show any stress levels after this lovely experience.
My WW points has been all over the place since Fri but I'm back on track today.
Peace out.
